GeorgAnna is a nationally credentialed Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM), Certified Professional Midwife (CPM), and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP). She holds a Master's in Nursing and Midwifery, a Bachelor's in Nursing, and a Bachelor’s in Behavioral Psychobiology after completing her thesis on Human Reproduction. Founder of Savannah Midwifery, she attended homebirths and water births locally for 9 years. She is also an herbalist and creator of herbal remedies for women's health, specializes in holistic health care, a certified Hypnobirthing instructor, Red Cross trained in disaster relief, and an experienced babywearer who founded the Savannah Slingers babywearing group in 2010. She has volunteered globally as a women's health activist and to learn traditional midwifery healing skills, including apprenticing with traditional Mayan midwives and learning Mayan abdominal massage.
GeorgAnna’s goal is to empower women on their journey through womanhood through respectful, gentle, and relaxed care with an emphasis on wellness, education, and informed decisions. She is passionate about helping women of all ages with well woman care, annual exams, family planning, preconception care, prenatal and postpartum care, lactation support, menopausal care, gynecology care, and anything in between. She does not currently attend births.
